• What is an equest?

Sometimes you just cannot find the information you are looking for.  At those times, submit an equest or electronic request and we’ll get it done for you.

The point behind an equest is to put people in touch with each other that can help each other.  One is looking for something, the other can make it or otherwise supply it.

You could pass the right person in the street, how would you otherwise know?  You could be a friend, a relative, know someone who knows someone, but otherwise, if the right person is a “stranger” you pass in the street, you might not otherwise know…

You might also not have the time to find the right info, leave it to equest.co.za and we’ll get it done for you.

An ideal situation electronic request is one that puts the right people in touch and can ultimately save time and effort importing a product, cut down on carbon emissions and keep money in the country.  Many products currently being imported are now overpriced due to currency fluctuations and other circumstances beyond our control.  Let’s get manufacturing SA!

  • Look No Further

You can have a driver or chauffeur to drive you around, a butler to open your door etc., and now you can make an equest to have us find your information.  It’s research specifically targeted at manufacturers, suppliers and buyers in South Africa.

Scenario: You import a product, e.g. a wheelbarrow.  What if someone in South Africa actually had a wheel barrow making machine, or a production line they can convert to making wheelbarrows and can compete due to currency fluctuations?  We match your equest (electronic request) with our database of suppliers and manufacturers and find a match to your equest and provide you the information.

If we don’t have the right supplier in our database, your equest is processed further by:

    • Listed in our database of equests online and open to tender (effectively) as interested parties can now submit offers and proposals to do the work.
    • Contracted info agents and contacts will scour the Internet and other sources to find your information.

If we cannot find your information, you get your money back.

  • We Got What You Want

Looking for a local manufacturer to manufacture products that you are importing at perhaps over inflated prices due to currency fluctuations, can be a tedious affair.

There are many products being imported that can and should be manufactured in South Africa.  What is the point in importing a plastic bucket?  Maybe someone local has what you need, maybe a company who can manufacture your imported product, or already has a similar product, at an equal or better price, without compromising quality, service of product etc., we can put you in touch with each other.

It gets rid of a lot of paperwork, saves time and takes much less patience to deal with the bureaucracy regulating importing at times. If you can find it here in South Africa, why not use it?

Besides the savings in carbon and the poisoning of the environment, can we afford not to look for alternatives.
